Thanks for sharing the story of the magic stones. I use a small stuff animal and call it their peace pal,to helps them relax. Some bring their favorite stuffed animal to class each week. Others like to bring a different each week. also have a bag full of peace Pals.
The Peace pal is also a good way to help them learn deep breathing. They can see and feel the their peace Pal go up and down as they breath. It gives them a connection with their favorite stuffed animal.
I will also use the magic stones. It is something small they can carry and it is "magic". It's magic is a wonderful way to take them not only into relaxation but into meditation. In addition it can simulation creative.

Great idea for props. I like to do a little give away on the last class of a series. This could be fun and inexpensive.

Once we also wrote words on the stones in a summer camp class. Children chose a word that represents a virtue they want like peace, forgive, love. We wrote on the stone with a paint marker from the art store. Then we left the stones in the studio as our own little sacred space that they can go to and chose a word each day of the camp.

The kids liked it a lot!
